Dental Implants

Today’s dental implants are typically made of titanium and may be parallel-sided or tapered and may or may not have threads. These fixtures are placed into the jawbone and allowed to heal until they are “integrated” into the bone. Dental implants may be utilized to replace one, many, or all of a patient’s teeth.

Multiple Tooth Replacement

There are several common treatment options for replacing multiple teeth:a tooth supported bridge, a removable partial denture, and a fixed (implant supported) bridge, and an implant supported complete denture. A fixed bridge solution provides stability, full function, and will preserve the jawbone and facial appearance.

Single Tooth Replacement

A dental implant and a porcelain crown may be used to repair a single damaged tooth and its root. With techniques that ensure optimal shape, size, color, and fit, the replacement tooth will be fully functional and will blend well with the existing natural teeth.
